How it works

Water Guardians is a free curriculum consisting of five lesson plans that will take your students on a journey from the start of the Mississippi River, down to the Gulf of Mexico, and off to other parts of the world. During this time you and your students will learn about the global water crisis and be inspired to make change in your own communities and beyond.

WATER GUARDIANS LESSONS

The Water Guardians program includes a combination of online videos and lessons, plus complementary exercises and worksheets. The web-based program is Google Classroom compatible and was designed to be flexible in order to meet a variety of needs and timelines. Contact us to get electronic copies of our Teacher Resources, which include the Student Worksheets and a Teacher Guide that will walk you through our five lesson plans.

WATER GUARDIANS FUNDRAISING

Water Guardians culminates with your students designing a service-learning project that will help a partner school in another part of the world gain access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene education (WASH). H2O for Life works with international NGO partners who are working on-site alongside members of these communities, and 100% of funds raised will go directly to their WASH projects. Take a look at some potential global partner schools and their goals on the H2O for Life website.
